Assistant Golf Course Superintendent: 

Pinewood Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to assist with the daily maintenance and agronomic management of the golf course. The position will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain high-quality playing conditions and ensure the golf course is maintained to club standards. 

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with daily golf course maintenance and crew supervision.

 • Assist with mowing, edging, trimming, aerification, verticutting, topdressing and other cultural practices.

 • Assist with fertilizer, pesticide and plant-growth-regulator applications.

 • Monitor turf health, moisture and disease pressure and report issues to the Superintendent. 

• Assist with irrigation operation, troubleshooting and repairs.

• Operate and maintain golf course equipment safely.

• Help train and direct maintenance staff.

• Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, fertilizers and maintenance activities. 

• Fill in for the Golf Course Superintendent when needed.

• Maintain a clean, safe and professional work environment. 

Qualifications: 

• Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred.

• Knowledge of Bermuda grass and golf course agronomic practices preferred. 

• Pesticide application license or willingness to obtain one. 

• Experience operating golf course equipment.

• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 

 *Valid driver’s license. 

* Ability to work weekends, holidays and early mornings as required by golf course operations.
