Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association

Assistant Superintendent

Assistant Superintendent

About Us & The Course

Sea Pines Country Club (Hilton Head Island, SC) is a premier, private member-owned club. Our 18-hole championship course was originally designed by Arnold Palmer, enhanced by Clyde Johnston, and recently re-imagined by architect Phil Smith. The agronomy department operates with a $2.4M+ budget and an elite 16-member crew, managing ultra-dwarf TifEagle greens and overseeded Celebration fairways. We pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional course conditions and fostering a culture of cutting-edge professional growth. Following the retirement of our previous superintendent after 27 years of dedicated service, the club is energized by our newly appointed Golf Course Superintendent and a forward-thinking vision for the operation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic, determined, and innovative Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to help lead our agronomy team. This leadership role is perfect for a driven professional who wants to bring a fresh perspective to a well-established operation. Looking ahead, you will play a hands-on role in planning and executing a major 2030 course renovation led by Phil Smith, offering invaluable construction and grow-in experience alongside a world-class designer.
