Position Summary

Tillery Tradition is seeking a qualified Equipment Manager to oversee all aspects of the golf course maintenance equipment fleet. This position is responsible for the inspection, repair, sharpening, and preventative maintenance of all turf equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. 

The Equipment Manager plays a vital role in supporting the agronomy team and contributing to the overall conditioning and presentation of the golf course. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all turf equipment, including greens, tees, fairway, and rough mowers; utility vehicles; and specialty equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly and accurately. 
• Sharpen, grind, and adjust reels and bed knives to maintain proper quality of cut. 
• Inspect equipment daily to identify wear, safety concerns, and repair needs. 
• Ensure cutting units are set up, calibrated, and performing to standards required for daily course conditions.

Fleet & Shop Management

• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment histories. 
• Manage parts inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control. 
• Oversee shop organization, cleanliness, and the safe operation of tools and equipment. 
• Implement and uphold all safety procedures, including hazardous materials handling and equipment lockout/tagout practices.
