Position Summary

Hillandale Golf Course is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily maintenance activities, leading and developing staff, implementing agronomic programs, and maintaining exceptional playing conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in agronomy and turfgrass management.
• Preferred experience managing Champion Bermuda putting surfaces.
• Current and active GCSAA membership.
• Possess or obtain all required North Carolina and local chemical/fertilizer application licenses and certifications.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development within the golf course management industry.
• Advanced knowledge of agronomic and turfgrass management practices.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with golf course irrigation systems.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize, and communicate daily operations to maintenance staff.
• Valid driver's license and proof of United States citizenship required. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and financial information.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements

• Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations affecting golf course maintenance operations, including environmental and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of maintenance program development and implementation.
• Familiarity with Ellerbe Creek Watershed regulations, requirements, and related credentials is preferred.
