Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Agronomy/Turf Management or Marketing or equivalent work experience in related field.


General Summary 

  • Maximize turf volume in assigned territory. Aggressively pursue turf sales. Services turf accounts and sets up new turf accounts. Service present and establish new accounts. Develop and maintain active file of accounts and prospective accounts. Make contact with these accounts frequently. Handle all sales activities with assigned customers and prospects. Current sales territory for this position covers Charlotte, NC, Spartanburg, Greenville, Anderson, Columbia and Santee, SC As well as Augusta, GA.


Essential Job Functions

  • Increase turf dollar volume. Meet or exceed the assigned budget.
  • Operate within budgeted expenses and gross margins.
  • Identify, contact, and coordinate approval process, set-up, initiate certification papers and credit application for new turf accounts.
  • Service current and future turf accounts as assigned by the Manager of Turf.
  • Remain aware of market changes and communicate regularly on an on-going basis with Manager of Turf the prices, supply and availability of products and services.
  • May assist with sales and technical training.
  • Maintain proper relationships with industry.
  • Work closely with accounts in keeping credit within established terms. Assist in working past due accounts.
  • Work with accounts on complaints.
  • Maintain record book of all accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
